SLAVAS SNOWSHOW NATIONAL TOUR LAUNCHES IN SAN FRANCISCO IN APRIL, 2006 NEW YORK PRODUCTION NOW ON SALE THRU OCTOBER NEW YORK CUMULATIVE GROSS AT $4.2 MILLION FOR 100,000 TICKETS Having played 34 weeks in New York City to over 100,000 ticket buyers for a cumulative gross to date of $4.2 million, the critically acclaimed production SLAVAS SNOWSHOW, created by Slava Polunin and produced by David Foster and Ross Mollison, today announced a second company of the production would commence a North American tour in San Francisco at the Curran Theatre on April 10, 2006. CEO of Shorestein-Hayes Nederlander Theatres, Greg Holland, announced that the production would be featured as part of the 2006 subscription season. The production is booked into the 1,700 seat Curran Theatre for a five week engagement. Producer David J. Foster said today, Were now talking to, and seeking other Broadway series to follow the engagement in San Francisco. The show has been performed in up to 3,000 seat houses around the world, though we will be looking for theatres in the range of 1,500 to 2,000 seats in North America. The great thing about SNOWSHOW, is that it appeals to all markets. It is like The Lion King - there isnt a market group that does not love the production - any age group or nationality because it doesnt rely on English. Slava is akin to a Russian rockstar, so the Russian market flocks to the show as well. We also find we attract many tourists from the UK and Korea, where SNOWSHOW has been an enormous hit. It is great to be able to market a production to the general public audience, and also attract niche targets who love the show - like the Russian, tourist and family markets. |
